Beginning by this week, a new services offering has been prepared by Citibank a.s. for clients from the professions. It includes advantageous terms for account maintenance and banking transactions for professions such as, for example, notaries, lawyers or physicians from selected fields of specialization (neurologists, cardiologists, dentists, gynecologists or ophthalmologists).
A part of the offering is the maintenance of business and personal accounts through the same personal banker, which will make communication with the bank significantly easier for the client and will make management of his or her financial needs more efficient. Every applicant interested in the product will, in addition, automatically become a client of CitiGold Wealth Management, which is a service designed by Citibank for its top-class private clientele.

New York - Citigroup today announced that the company and its employees will donate up to US$3 million to assist the humanitarian aid effort following the earthquake disaster affecting South Asia. In addition to a US$1 million immediate commitment, the Citigroup Foundation will match any eligible donation made by a Citigroup employee dollar for dollar to support relief efforts up to US$1 million for a potential total of US$3 million. The foundation will work with a number of relief organizations, including the Red Crescent and the Red Cross societies, in order to ensure that this aid goes where it is needed most in providing immediate relief and support with rebuilding.

Prague - Another cost-saving campaign has been prepared by Citibank a.s. for customers applying for Citibank products. Clients who take out a Citibank Personal Loan before August 31, 2005, will not have to pay the credit account maintenance fee. In addition, the loan application process has been simplified. From now on, each application will only have to be supported by two documents: a statement of income and personal ID card.

This limit applies to the total spent on the core and supplementary cards. If the cardholder fails to meet the said condition, s/he will be charged an annual fee of Kc500 only instead of current Kc1,000.

From January 2005, Citibank is enhancing Citibank Credit Cards by offering clients the ability to transfer cash funds from their credit card to any bank account they choose. The money will be sent straightaway to the client’s chosen bank account at a preferential rate of interest and without charges. So from now on, it will not only be possible to pay through your credit card at shops but, also, to obtain cash funds to make purchases at a lower rate than making a cash withdrawal from an ATM using a credit card.
