How to Receive a Credit Card

Getting a Citi credit card is very easy:

• Apply for the credit card online or
• Call our information line at +420 844 888 844 and set up a meeting with one of our sales representatives, who can meet you wherever is most convenient, fill in the application with you and take the necessary documentation.
• You can, of course, also visit one of our branches.

In order to get a Citi credit card, you need:

• A minimum net monthly income of CZK 12,000
• To be 21 years or above
• To be employed or self-employed

As part of your application, we will request the following documents:

• A completed and signed application
• A copy of last year’s tax return (if self-employed)
• A copy of both sides of your Citizen Identification Card

Once we have received your application and all the necessary documents and if your application is approved, you will receive your Citi credit card by mail within a week (as a normal letter).

In the envelope, you will find an inactivated card. In order for you to be able to start to use the card, please call our activation line at +420  233 062 233, in order to activate your card.

In addition, you will choose:

• a four character A-PIN for your credit card (which you will use, for example, for withdrawing cash from ATM machines or for logging into Citibank Online),
• a six character T-PIN for the easy and fast access to CitiPhone.

During your first call to the CitiPhone help line, you will go through an authorization procedure, so that we can minimize the possibility of your card being misused by an unauthorized person.

For future contact with the CitiPhone helpline, you will use your T-PIN code; you will be asked for two random numbers from the T-PIN code.

Along with your credit card, you also have access to a 24-hour customer support:

• Telephone Banking CitiPhone at the telephone number +420 233 062 222.
• Over the Internet at www.citibankonline.cz, where you will find your current balance on the card, minimum payment due, overview of recent transactions, information about your credit limit, etc. If you have a current account with Citibank, you can make on-line payments with one click.
