Citi Debit Card fees
At Citi, we give you the option to hold accounts in multiple currencies, all accessible with the same Citi Debit Card. When travelling, simply link your card to an account in the currency of your destination country. This will allow you to withdraw cash and make card payments without incurring transaction fees.
When spending abroad, the following fees will apply if your card is not linked to a Citi account in the local currency.
Card purchases - Citibank N.A., Jersey Branch:
- The transaction amount will first be converted to Sterling by the relevant card scheme and a 2.00% transaction fee applied.
- If your card is linked to a Citi account in a currency other than Sterling, the transaction amount will then be converted into that currency using the current 'Citi IPB' reference exchange rate.
Card purchases - Citibank N.A., London Branch and Citibank Europe plc, UK Branch:
- The transaction amount will first be converted to Euro by the relevant card scheme and a 2.00% transaction fee applied.
- If your card is linked to a Citi account in a currency other than Euro, the transaction amount will then be converted into that currency using the current 'Citi IPB' reference exchange rate.
Cash withdrawals at Citi ATMs
- The withdrawal amount will first be converted to US Dollars at the current 'Citi' reference exchange rate and a 2.00% transaction fee applied.
- If your card is linked to a Citi account in a currency other than US Dollars, the amount will then be converted to that currency at the current 'Citi IPB' reference exchange rate.
Cash withdrawals at non-Citi ATMs
- The withdrawal amount will first be converted to US Dollars by the relevant card scheme and a 2.00% transaction fee applied.
- If your card is linked to a Citi account in a currency other than US Dollars, the amount will then be converted to that currency at the current 'Citi IPB' reference exchange rate.
