About the MasterCard – Bank of the Year Competition
The MasterCard – Bank of the Year Competition has been running in Hungary since 2006, main sponsor of it being MasterCard Worldwide. The awards of the professional categories are given by the anonymous voting of an independent 100-member professional jury made up of business leaders, economic journalists and university teachers. The Banker of the Year Award is decided by voting of invited bank CEOs. The Best Bank for Corporate Social Responsibility category was launched in 2008 in which submissions are being evaluated by a separate jury consisting of representatives of major non-profit organizations in Hungary.
