Citi announced the appointment of Bea Előd as the Budapest Citi Service Center Head and EMEA Citi Shared Services Chief Administrative Officer effective 1 June 2012. In her capacity as Head of Budapest Citi Service Center, Bea Előd will be the Head of Citibank International plc Hungarian Branch Office and responsible within Hungary for the governance of all staff and functions covered by that legal vehicle.
Budapest Citi Service Center, established in 2005, employs approximately 700 employees. It provides a wide range of services in Operations and Technology, Finance and Consumer areas for Citi clients in EMEA and globally. Budapest has recently become part of the global Citi Service Center Network.
Bea Előd, Budapest Citi Service Center Head and EMEA Citi Shared Services Chief Administrative Officer, on her appointment said, "I am very excited about this new challenge and I am pleased that together with the newly formed Site Leadership Team, I will be leading the transformation work to build a World Class Service Center in Budapest that will grow both in terms of functions and number of employees over the next few years. I am also very excited to lead key initiatives within the EMEA Citi Shared Services organization as well as participate in the global strategic projects assisting to shape the future of Citi Service Centers."
For the past four years, Bea Előd has led the O&T Organization in Hungary in her capacity as Senior Country Operations Officer. She was responsible for the end to end country scope of the O&T business, leading operations, technology and service delivery to all ICG and Consumer businesses. Under her leadership many regulatory, business and technology projects were executed, while both Client Satisfaction and Voice of Employee scores improved year on year.
She has been with Citibank Hungary for over twenty years and has held numerous roles in the country: she managed Treasury Operations & Controls, Securities & Fund Services Operations, Global Transaction Services Operations, Quality Assurance /Internal Audit functions for ICG, Consumer Operations, Service and Technology, as well as coordinated operational aspects of many milestone projects for the Hungarian franchise.
Bea Előd holds an Economics degree from the Budapest Business School and a Law degree from University of Szeged.
