Hungary, Budapest. Citi appointed Mr. Kevin A. Murray as the Citi Country Officer and CEO for Hungary and Cluster Head for the Balkan and Baltic Regions in Central & Eastern Europe.
Commenting on the appointment Marc Luet, Division Head for Citi in Central & Eastern Europe, said, “Kevin brings a wealth of experience and an impressive track record of building strong businesses. He is ideally placed to drive our efforts to continue to grow in Hungary, the Balkan and Baltic regions.”
Mr. Murray joined Citi in 1987 and during the 29 years of his distinguished career with the company he has held senior roles across many functions, businesses and geographies, including Corporate and Investment Banking, Internal Audit, Private Banking and Risk Management; in Africa, Asia, North America and Europe. Most recently he was the Citi’s business head for West & Central Africa as well as country head for Cote d’Ivoire and Senegal.
Mr. Murray said, “Citi has a remarkable history of over 30 years of leadership in serving our clients in Hungary with innovative solutions. I am very excited to lead our highly talented, engaged professional team to continue to build our franchise and help our clients grow.”
Mr. Murray holds an MBA in Finance from New York University, a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Fordham University.
