Citi and BBS continue successful Bank of the Future course
Citi Hungary (Citi) and Budapest Business School Faculty of International Management and Business (BBS FIMB) are launching the “Building the Bank of the Future” course this September. Entering into its second year, the English-language experimental course welcomes a new crop of 30 students to develop an understanding of banking and what the bank of the future will be like.
Curated by the Citi Global Business Corporate Department, the course applied new methodologies to provide practical education aligning with exacting international accreditation standards (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business – AACSB).
Citi has also made the course a priority, filling the curriculum with the most up-to-date financial knowledge while giving students unique insights into the culture of a truly global multinational corporation, providing them with crucial perspectives on future career paths.
“At Citi, we believe it is of utmost importance for us to support the development of students and contribute to the mission of BBS by collaborating on inspiring business education to raise students who are prepared to face future challenges with integrity. This is in all our interests,” said Munir Nanji, Central Europe and Ireland Head at Citi in his congratulatory speech to successful graduates.
“Students will be able to succeed in their careers and actively build a developing, sustainable world if they can discover the practical applications of their theoretical education in the classroom, while attaining skills sought by future employers,” highlighted Dr Anna Forgacs, Deputy Dean of Education at BBS FIMB in her closing remarks.
This September, the Citi course will provide another 30 students an insight into the world of work, supporting them in putting their knowledge into practice and acquainting them with corporate, entrepreneurial and analytical thinking, the business implications of an international work environment, organization and different aspects of strategic planning. Moreover, it will support the development and improvement of aptitudes and competencies which are essential for finding employment such as time management, digitalization, presentation skills, teamwork and strategic thinking.
Feedback from last year’s crop of students highlighted the course as inspirational, with novel methodologies. High praise was given to projects with Citi mentors as well as the interactive lectures by Citi bank leaders encouraging critical thinking with a practical approach to subject matters in the curriculum.
