3 Quick Questions and Answers
Q. Why is it important for APCs to review cardholder transaction activity, and for cardholders to review monthly statements in a timely manner?
A. It's important to ensure that account activity is both accurate and valid. Transaction activity reports and monthly statements can give pertinent clues if the cardholder's account could have been compromised, misused or abused. It's critical to notify Citi as soon as you recognize fraudulent activity on an account, and to assist with the fraud claim, it's imperative to complete and return all requested documentation.

Q. When is a reinstatement application required for an individually billed account?
A. The reinstatement application is only required for accounts that are closed G8 or G5.
- For accounts that are closed G5, a reinstatement application can be submitted 60 days after the balance has been paid in full.
- Accounts with a G8 credit rating must have a zero balance for at least 60 days before reinstatement, and cannot have had a payment returned for non-sufficient funds (NSF) within the previous 12 months.
Accounts that are closed V9, V8 or T1 can be reopened over the phone. You must be able to verify the cardholder's complete social security number (SSN), date of birth, address, email address and phone numbers. Accounts closed M9 are closed for various reasons, please contact the call center to determine the account's eligibility for reopening. To access the Card Account Reinstatement Form, click here.
