Payroll Accounts

We recommend to our customers to open a separate account for your payroll payments In this case the total sum amount of your payroll payments will be transferred from your main account to the payroll account, from which the individual salary payments will be initiated. This ensures that payroll related information can only be tracked on this account. The statements of your payroll account will be handled separately and posted directly to the person(s) nominated by your company.

You can initiate payroll payments via Citibank's electronic banking (EB) system, CitiDirect. We can provide separate access to the payroll account on EB as well to ensure that only authorized persons at your company can initiate payroll payments and access account information.

Salary payments can also be initiated as group transfers. This allows you to initiate salary payments in a more structured format and to send payments to employees who do not have individual but household accounts.
