Krishnan - Enterprise Supply Chain (ESC)

My Career journey started with Citibank Plc as an Information Security Analyst in January, 2008 after I graduated from the Óbuda University as Mechanical Engineer (mechatronics, BSc) in 2007.

I was part of the Global Consumer Technology Information Security Administration team that was setup in the global processing center in Budapest, which is now incorporated into GIDA, supporting users in Global ID Administration.

Due to the flexible working hours Citi provided for its workers, I was able to obtain my masters in International Business In 2011, from the Oxford Brookes University affiliated campus at the International Business School in Budapest.

With the great opportunities’ that Citi offers in terms of career paths, I took a bold decision to move to an unknown area in my career path, that is in the field of accounts payable in January 2013 as production support Analyst for Electronic invoice that is submitted directly by vendors into our Enterprise Supply Chain's Procure-to-Pay (P2P) system, this also included training and on boarding of vendors on how to utilizing user interface application for the online invoice entry and also resolving supplier queries in relations to the overall process from Submitting to payments. I also support and manage all Tickets open in service now application in relation to Enterprise Supply Chain's Procure-to-Pay (P2P) system and the Citi Travel and Expense (CTE) system for the EMEA region. I also do participate in projects related task in my department when the need arises.

Emese - Human Resources Shared Services (HRSS)

I joined Citigroup on March 3, 1997, the Consumer Bank, Vorosmatry Branch – as Service Manager. Soon after joining Citi, I was given the Personal Banker role and in 2000 I was sharing time between being a trainer and conversion coordinator for the freshly divestitured ING bank, participating in the Expansion Project of Citibank. After that I was appointed to be the Branch Network Training Manager and participating in new product and system implementations. In 2002 a new customer and transactional banking system was implemented in the bank (670 user affected) where beside managing and organizing the training for the whole bank I also acted as conversion coordinator for the Branch Network. Between 2004-2006 I was taking the role of Branch Network coordinator, taking part in system developments, new projects, and process reengineering.

After spending 9 years with Branches, trainings and system projects, in 2006 I joined the freshly established Shared Service Center as an HR Generalist, responsible for the recruitment and general HR tasks. In the year of 2010 again back on IT with the On-boarding project and finally in 2012 joined to HRSS as Migration Project Manager responsible for managing the transfer of processes or services from HR to HRSS or from one country to another and supporting migrations for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Currently I am also performing the job of the HRSS EMEA Bright Idea Administrator, responsible for evaluating and assigning ideas; assist, coordinate and track BI Coordinators to execute ideas; also maintaining the system and the processes.

What I like the most about working for Citi is the people and the culture – talented people, great teams and “role model” leaders; collaboration, teamwork with 54 nations just in EMEA, but even more across the globe.

We have the opportunities to take charge of our professional development. You can move laterally to gain new skills or up for a better position, you have the control over choosing the path and Citi provides the necessary tools to that. Oksana - Market Data Services

Back in 2011 when I had just graduated from the International Business School, I was already in the middle of a job hunt in multinational companies. Having worked with smaller firms in the past, I was aiming to become a part of something global and diverse, although with little or no comprehension of what and where these opportunities might be. As my first challenge at Citi, I joined one of the most multicultural young technology teams where we shared a passion for IT working as business applications analysts.

This role helped me gain practical skills in analytics, change management and office dynamics and I also became familiar with the concept of corporate culture and started to like it more with each passing day. Citi has helped me to rise to my feet, look around and think what I am really good at and what I would like to achieve. When another opportunity knocked on the door in form of a specialist role in Market data, I was armed with right skill set and prepared for new challenges the role offered. Market data is rather a very unique department that ensures our bankers have access to the knowledge and resources they need to make Citi one of the leading financial institutions in the world. We ensure that our traders have access to Bloomberg and Reuters, we secure our investment bankers can access Factset data in a timely manner, we take care of Financial Times and other financial publications for Citi subscribers.

This year I was promoted to take a team leader role which has helped me gain people and project management skills. This fast paced environment, immense learning opportunities and the responsibilities gives me excitement and motivation to come to work every day. I could not have achieved all this without the people around me – be it colleagues, managers, leaders or mentors. Each one has played a positive role and left his/her mark in my professional development. Colleagues has helped me with support and healthy competition, managers have guided me, leaders and mentors have inspired me to push my boundaries or at times even punch above my weight. There is still a long and exciting journey ahead of me and I am confident that I can always rely on my peers and management to help me overcome challenges to help achieve results for colleagues, functions, company and myself.
